After a perfume, a candle is a way of living a daily smell: entering a room, closing your eyes and slowly inhaling it for the pleasure of doing so. With this candle N°6, as the number 6 of the Rue de Budapest in Paris, Marc-Antoine Barrois wanted to fill his Maison de Couture with the olfactory memories of his childhood: Memories of a great house where the elegance of his grandfather prevailed in the leather smell of a precious briefcase or other bags. The warm atmosphere of a late afternoon with his family in the living room next to the fireplace, with some delicate aromas here and there that came out of the kitchen where the snack was prepared.
To fill the smell of authenticity and refinement the entire Maison de Couture MARC-ANTOINE BARROIS, located in the N°6 of the Rue de Budapest in Paris, the perfumer Quentin Bisch once again immersed himself in the universe of the modistus. Thus, he worked around the same mailed, wooded and spiced frame, adding amber aromas and softening it with smoked notes to create a perfumed candle that shows his taste for refined matter. This candle has that generous complexity of the fabric leather that warms to the heat of the balms, a firm in which the pachulí acquires the sensual refinement of the amber to enhance the attractive shutdown of the boutique MARC-ANTOINE BARROIS. A coriaceous atmosphere, which is both thick and enveloping, and which is made even with the golden lights of the cistus-labdanum. A comfortable fragrance, glowing and twisted by the spicy notes of the cumin and saffron. There is also a fruity touch, flavored with peach and plum, which illuminates this harmony of amber and wood in which the scents of the sandal and the pachuli are joined.
For our candles, we have chosen 60% natural wax and 40% mineral, without palm oil or GMO, so we take advantage of the advantages of both waxes: the natural returns more fragrance when it is cold and the mineral when it is hot. In addition, this mixture greatly reduces soot emissions. Finally, cotton shells have been dimensioned to allow a regular candle combustion.
