The light that reveals; what is not illuminated is not meant to be known.
The light has become a physical and also metaphysical source
of illumination, meant to express revelations and discoveries
of truths hidden in the shadows. It is often associated with religious
symbolism and inspired a whole branch of Renaissance philosophy.
